Special Rates for all Australian Outback Marathoners
Are you running in one of the events at the Australian Outback Marathon? Rest your body and mind in one of our specially selected first class hotels. Having run the marathon ourselves, we know how important race preparation can be, especially rest and sleep!
Our carefully selected hotels are ideally located, provide shuttle services and, of course, offer luxury rooms perfect for resting up before the race.
Our marathon itineraries offer packages from 2 to 5 night stays with any of our preferred hotels
(Suites at Sails in the Desert can only be booked for a minimum of 3 nights).
Choose between Sails in the Desert, Desert Gardens Hotel, The Lost Camel, the Emu Walk Apartments or the Outback Pioneer Hotel and Lodge, which offers budget accommodation and features a ‘Do it Yourself’ Outback BBQ.
Whatever your choice, be assured you will be well rested and ready for the Australian Outback Marathon starting line!
Connellan Airport (Ayers Rock Airport) is six kilometres from the Ayers Rock Resort and it takes about 10 minutes to transfer between the two.
If you are arriving on a scheduled flight, airport transfers are included as part of your itinerary.
Mobile phones will work at Ayers Rock resort and for approximately a 20km radius around the resort. This means that your phone WILL work at Uluru but you MAY NOT get coverage at Kata Tjuta. If you do not have a mobile phone but want to get one for your stay, pre-paid mobile phones can be purchased from the Post Office situated in the shopping precinct.
Yes, there is free wireless internet at all of the hotels for all guests.
Our private coaches will be operating a shuttle service all day to and from from the race start/finish area back to the resort so that you can leave whenever you have finished your event.
All participants are encouraged to remain at the finish, however, to cheer in those runners who have elected to enjoy the wondrous scenery for just a little longer.
A good idea is to hop on the shuttle, go back to your hotel to freshen up and then hop back on the shuttle to go back to the finishing line to cheer in the last participants.
